The National Assembly on Monday shifted its resumption indefinitely for the second time in a week.

The National had planned a meeting of its leadership on Tuesday August 6, 2018 but it was aborted when masked Department for State Services operatives blocked its entrance gates.

Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Yusuf Lasun, had told journalists on Sunday that the National Assembly would reconvene on Wednesday to consider a supplementary budget sent by President Muhammadu Buhari and other matters instead of the earlier September 25, 2018 date.

However, spokesman for Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Turaki Hassan, told newsmen on Monday in Abuja that no such notice had been issued by the Clerk of the National Assembly, Sani Omolori.
