Ekiti election: Fayose mocks Buhari, APC as Presidency plots impeachment

Ekiti State Govetnor, Ayodele Fayose, on Monday mocked President Muhammadu Buhari abs the All Progressives Congress over their frenzied attempt to humiliate him out if office.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, the governor said the declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission that Kayode Fayemi of APC win the July 14, 2018 governorship election would be upturned by the courts.

He spoke just as indications emerged if a desperate and sinister nice by APC acting in concert with the Nigerian Army, Department for State Service and the Nigeria Police to force the state house of assembly to impeach him.

DSS operatives are said to have searched in vain for key members of the assembly.

The impeachment move us being plotted by some desperate hawks in the Presidency, Metrostarng gathered on Monday.

They are worried about the likelihood of losing in court, given glaring evidence of digging, ballot box snatching, intimidation of opposition members, disruption of a Peoples Democratic Party rally by the police and other unlawful acts by security agents during the election.

Fayose has already given the assurance that his deputy and Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Prod. Kolapo Olusola Eleka, will succeed him.
