Barcelona are ready to sell seven stars in the near future as they look to thin out their bloated squad ahead of the new season.
Manager Ernesto Valverde is keen to work with a small group of players and currently believes they have too many on their books, especially following two summer transfers coming into the club.
Defensive midfielder Arthur joins from Gremio, while Clement Lenglet arrives from Sevilla, which sees the club strengthen in key area.
But it means Valverde must cull a selection of stars, and seven of the 14 players currently in pre-season training could all be culled, according Marca .
Andre Gomes , Aleix Vidal, Marlon Santos, Munir, Douglas, Rafinha and Sergi Samper all appear to be surplus to requirements, while it’s thought some could move in the coming days as Barca look to sell before their pre-season tour of the United States.
The news comes on the back of Philippe Coutinho applying to change his nationality to Portuguese as he seeks to help free up space in the Barcelona squad for another non-EU player.
