A stakeholders meeting on the July 14, 2018 governorship election in Ekiti State ended in chaos on Monday.

The meeting organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission in the state capital, Ado Ekiti, was attended by its Chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakub, the Inspector-General of Police. Ibrahim Idris and the governorship candidates and supporters of political parties.

Yakub and Idris promised to ensure a free, fair and credible election.

However, the situation became rowdy when questions were being taken from the audience even as party supporters broke into singing and dancing.
