Reggae star, Ras Kimono, has died in a Lagos hospital of undisclosed causes.
He was due to travel to the United States on Saturday night when he complained of feeling uneasy.
He was rushed to a hospital before being transferred to Lagoon Hospital in Ikeja, Lagos where he died on Sunday.
Veteran musicians such as Sir Shina Peters and Chief Tony Okoeoji immediately held a meeting to decide on the next line if action.
He was married to three women and was known for his reggae hits.
Ras Kimono released his debut album ‘Under Pressure,’ in the late 80s and went on to bring out ‘Rumba-Stylee.’
His music was a blend of African and Jamaican beats and his huge dreadlocks kept fans fascinated.
