JOHESU suspends strike, resumes work June 1

Joint Health Sector Unions on Wednesday agrees to suspend their 44-day old strike following the intervention of the National Industrial Court.

The latest development follows a botched intervention by the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.

NIC had two weeks ago ordered the striking workers to resume work buy they appeared against the exparte motion.

This made NIC to seek an alternative means of resolving the dispute, over which the workers are demanding pay parity with medical doctors among others.
