Benue sues Miyetti Allah over killings

Benue State Government on Monday dragged the Miyetti lah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria before a high court in the state capital, Makurdi, over the brutal killings of its people and stealing of property.

This was disclosed by Govetnor Samuel Ortom at a press conference in the state capital.

He said that as a law-abiding government, his administration had resorted to the court in order to get justice.

He reiterated his administrations call for the arrest of the group’s leaders over a threat allegedly made in June 2017 to kill indigenes of the state over the passage of its anti-grazing law.
