$9m not found in my house, says ex-amnesty coordinator

Immediate past coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme for ex-Niger Delta Militants, Brig-Gen. Paul Boroh (retd), has debunked reports (Metrostarng not included) that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission found $9 million in his house during a recent search.

Boroh’s wife, Ibinye, told journalists in Abuja on Wednesday that though their Abuja house was ransacked by security agents, no such amount was found there.

His lawyer, Chief Olusola Oke, also urged media houses that published the report to retract it within 48 hours.

He said his client is still in EFCC’s custody despite reports that he had been released.
