Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has expressed disaffection over the manner some Nigerians politicized the ailment of the president, noting that Buhari as president represents Nigeria and whatever happens to him should be of concern to every Nigerian.
Governor Ortom who was amongst the seven governors that visited the President in London, said this yesterday during an interaction with newsmen at Government House after returning from a two(2) weeks break in UK,  London.
“president Muhammad Buhari is fast recuperating and would soon returns to Nigeria, we advised  him not to be in a hurry  to return to Nigeria because the vice president is doing well and he also have confidence in the acting President”
According to him, ‘when we met the president, he was in high spirit and was eager to return to Nigeria. God has shamed those who wanted the president dead,  those insulting him, and saying all manner of things against the president, he was happy seen us, we chatted with him and we told him to take his time  and recuperate well until his doctors find him fit before he will resume work’.
“What he needs is our support and prayer.  Here in Benue we were the first state to start prayer for the president, God has put those who think that president Buhari would die to shame, my prayer for them (the critics) is that God should forgive them”.
the president was so particular about the security issue in Benue state and he prayed for us in Benue, he is very okay now, what he needs is to eat well and wait till when his doctors certify him fit to return home, we told him not to be in a hurry because he has an acting president that is doing well.”.
Governor Ortom who also disclosed that he went through health challenges while in United Kingdom said that the difference between life and death is slim, maintaining that ‘only God determines the life of everyone’ and enjoined all Nigerians not to mock or play with anyone with health or any other challenges as long as one lives.
On claims that he operates a snake farm,  Governor Ortom out rightly denied it,  averring that such allegation is the handiwork of the opposition in the State.
He explained that he has been farming  for the past 27 years,  intimating that he indulges in livestock like fishery, grains, snail and recently mushroom cultivation.
