AEDC To Distribute 1,500 Prepaid Meters In Lafia


The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) said it has concluded arrangement to distribute 1,500 prepaid meters to electricity consumers in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
The Managing Director, Engr. Ernest Mupwaya, who was represented by Mr.Chris Chime made this known in Lafia during a town hall meeting organized in conjunction with the Nigeria Electricity RegulatoryCommission (NERC), noting that approval has already been given for the distribution.
Similarly, NERC said it has concluded arrangement to open a new appellate complaint centre in lafia for consumers to lodge their complaints on the services rendered by the Abuja Electricity Distributing Company (AEDC).
The Commissioner consumer Affairs, Dr. Moses Arigu who disclosed this in Lafia stated that the office, when opened , will ease the difficulties consumers are experiencing lodging  their complaints.
Also speaking,Nasarwa State deputy governor,  Silas Agara assured that the state would partner with the NERC to unravel the dilapidated power situation added that government had already provided 20 hectares of land for the establishment of 330 kV sub station in lafia.
