The Arcbishop of  diocese of Kaduna  Anglican communion,Bishop Timothy Yahaya has attributed the agitations to the abuse of powers and unfaithfulness on the part of the leaders at  all levels of governance.
This is just as he equally asserted  that the disintegration of Nigeria is certainly unimaginable and that those wishing Nigeria to disintegrate should have a rethink, stressing that it would amount to a major world’s catastrophy of unimaginable proportion.
The Bishop stated this at the 3rd session of the 20th synod of the church held at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Kakuri, Kaduna at the weekend.
He further posited that  “if today the country breaks up, there would be no place to hide, there will be no place to go, our neighbouring countries can not contend us as refugees.
“The number of cars in Lagos alone is more than all the cars in West African region . So, everyone should be interested in what is happening in Nigeria.
“The United Nations should be careful because Nigeria is a different country,it is not like the Arab countries. Everybody should put his hands on deck to resolve the country’s lingering problems.
On the agitations and eviction threats,  the man of God further stressed that the various agitations for self -autonomy was as a result of the abuse and unfaithfulness of our leaders.
“Our leaders today  think of power only to take care of their wives, children and how to steal from the coffers of the government treasury and not the people “.
He condemned the assertion that Nigerians are religious people, saying, “We practice religion only on the lips and not the heart.
“Unfortunately people use religion for political gains, use it to clinch to power and people use it for commercial purposes. But look at Singapore today, some years ago we are at per, but they have no religion but look at their development, yet look at us, it tells you there is a problem.
The Bishop therefore called on all and sundry to continuously seek the face of God in Prayers for Him to intervene in the challenges bedevilling the nation and turn from our evil ways.
