Imo community donates land for senator’s proposed projects

The people of  Ofekatta 1 Autonomous Community in Awo-Omamma, Imo State have donated between seven and 10 plots of land in support of a proposed civic centre, guest house and library promised by Senator Hope Uzodinma.

the land donation was contained in a letter to the chairman fAwo-Omamma Development Forum (Worldwide) by the traditional ruler of Ofekatta 1 Autonomous Community, Eze Anthony Nnabuo; the President-General, Chief Emmanuel Ihemesinwa; Secretary-General, Igwechi Augustine; and Youth Leader, Okechukwu Ejimfugha. It was dated February 3, 2017.

They said the donation was to support the promise by the senator through the forum. They said the land was free of any dispute and was being donated by the entire Ubogwu community (Ofekatta 1).

“Our people are happy about the proposal as they naturally hope to benefit from both the social and economic aspects of the development, especially n job creation for our youths,” the letter said.

  1. Nice step to sharing Democratic dividends,

    Well equipped Libraries are duely required in all communities at least to encourage the poor children whose parents cannot afford books, to have access to text books and educational materials.

    Hopefully, as this project starts and gets completed, other political leaders in various communities in IMO state and Nigeria at large will emulate from Senator Hope in listening to their people and hearkening to their calls.
