N36m scam: JAMB suspends sales clerk

The management of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Sunday suspended a sales clerk, Philomena Chieshe, over the alleged disappearance of N36 million from the coffers of the agency’s Makurdi, Benue State office.

The clerk had told a team of auditors from the headquarters in Abuja that a mystery snake swallowed the money.

The money was the proceeds if the sale of scratch cards over the last few years before it was abolished.

Already, security agencies are investigating the matter, with a view to ascertaining how the money disappeared.
